The aircon is not currently working
Making out wouldn't cost us a thing, I bemused
(While the two of us counted our change)
“We could go for a walk by the beach” I proposed
“I would cruise but the rav’s driving strange”
So we roamed on the sand with my hand in her hand
(Being all I could offer my love)
And I pouted to think I could only afford
Just the stars—not a stone—far above
“We could swim in the waves” offered I with a sigh
(While the surf was suppressed by my talk)
“We could jump on the rocks, we could climb up the trees”
I despaired as we finished our walk
We convened in the rav and continued to plan
(Not a dime but debating a ring)
When she shrugged, with my face in her hands, as she said
“Making out wouldn’t cost us a thing”
