[Poetry] The Wanderer by Ritika Devender

The meadow pretended to be endless,

Urging my soul to explore the Edenic beauty.

The lush was covered with a misty essence,

Garnishing the grass with the celestial scent.

The stars dazzled incandescently,

Frosting the dark sky,

With the moon unwinding like a charming princess.

The river reflected the shimmering lights from the heaven,

Turning itself into a stream of an enchantress.

My soul wandered more like a vagabond,

Uncovering the sites that are meant to strike.

A group of fireflies encircled the snow white flowers,

Dancing in the moonlight they transcend the materialistic world.

My soul got caught up in this euphoric ambience,

Drifting randomly to the places of wizardry,

Where the clock stops ticking and illusion ceases to continue.

The journey of my physical being has come to an end,

With my spirit surpassing the earthen vibrations,

And proceeding towards the Elysian paradise in search of the cosmic bearer.
