[Poetry] Two Poems by Melinda Jane - The Poet Mj

Tectonic Love

Plate margins shift

Under currents convect

Het up conversations

Three types:

Volcanic explosions,

Tsunami,

Earth quakes in relationships.

Constructive-divergent,

Two plates separate away from each other

Magma seeps thru

Eruptions form

Geological features

Volcanoes.

Destructive-convergent when

Two plates move towards each other

One goes under,

One pushes up, elevated.

Can create powerful earth quakes.

Tectonic plates of love.

Pans

Marzipan faces

Coming at me in a swarm.

Fake, grimace, rain scatters the path

Puddles of grease, largesse reflections

Streets beating against souls

Soiled, the sea rises and swallows whole.
